Who says seniors simply stay stagnant? That is simply not so! We have the God-given savvy to have survived several seasons, and we have the gray hairs (or the strategically dyed ones) to prove it. Still, whether you are running an online business or just managing your daily life, we realize there are times when everyone should sit down and scrutinize their situation

Let's talk about decisions. Did you know the average adult makes about 35,000 decisions every single day? (Source: CNBC, https://www.cnbc.com/2025/02/20/adults-makes-35000-decisions-a-day-how-to-avoid-choice-overload.html). Most of these decisions are not especially earth-shattering. Many are very simple, like which socks to wear, whether to use ranch or vinaigrette, or whether today is the day you finally try to understand how TikTok works.
But after making thousands of decisions, even the tiny ones, we often develop a weary feeling that psychologists call decision fatigue. Once we hit that point, our brain's battery is drained. Our decision-making ability declines, and we have a hard time deciding what to have for dinner, let alone how to pivot our business strategies!

It is no surprise, then, that when people are confronted with major life decisions, they can easily get overwhelmed. After agonizing over possible risks, uncertainties, and endless what-ifs, they often simply decide not to decide. In other words, they keep doing what they are doing, rather than choosing something new. They stick with the job they have instead of attempting a new solopreneur venture, or they stay in the town they know instead of moving to a new place
From a Christian perspective, this makes perfect sense. We serve a Creator who loves renewal. In Isaiah 43:19, the Lord says, "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?" God is constantly in the business of transforming us and guiding us into new seasons. He did not design us to be stagnant ponds; He created us to be flowing rivers. Even in our senior years, God still has fresh callings, new adventures, and abundant grace waiting for us. Just look at Moses or Abraham, their biggest career changes happened well past retirement age!

If there is a decision you have been agonizing over, why not take a leap of faith and choose the option that brings a change? Whether it is a new haircut, launching that online business you have been dreaming of, or a new exercise plan, a change might be exactly what the Good Lord ordered. It is springtime, after all, the season of resurrection, change, and new beginnings. So pray for wisdom, flip the script, and remember that there is no better time than now to try something new!
